CHAPEL OF SAINTE-NEIGE
The chapel of Sainte-Neige is located in the northeast of Neufchef, once the Iron Mines Museum was located in Hamévillers. Known for the Merovingians, this hamlet is home to the late xiith century religious. He disappeared around 1650, and a century later, we only talked about Hamevillers as a farm. In 1862, her last owner ceded her to the house of Wendel. On the farm, he still reserves a few lighthouses on which he has built the current chapel for 600 francs. He houses the Virgin to the Child called Today Notre-Dame des Neiges. For the record: it is named because, in the vicinity of the current chapel, on the right side, it was a source in which the population came to bathe the children with the eupho, also called "snow". Afterwards, she was named "miraculous source" for the healing that is attributed to his power. It has disappeared approximately 80 years ago, probably absorbed by mines.
