PHALSBURG MUSEUM
Museum of Phalsbourg presenting various military objects, with arts and traditions, to discover the way of life of the inhabitants
The Phaslbourg Museum was created on the centenary of the death of Marshal Mouton in 1938. But in 1941, it was moved to Germany because it was considered war booty. Many military souvenirs disappeared in the whirlwind of war. Installed on the second floor of the town hall, it devotes an important part to the military domain, in particular to the construction of works by Vauban. The part concerning the arts and popular traditions exposes the way of life of the inhabitants of the region during the past centuries.
