Located in the heart of the Regional Vosges Natural Park, Hanau Pond is no less than 18 ha of water and nature. The ruins of a medieval castle overlook this beautiful greenery, which will delight small and large. This place, very popular with tourists for its tranquillity and beauty, is home to a 2-star campsite (7 ha) open during the high season. There is also an on-site tourist information point, picnic areas, a botanical trail, numerous trails marked for hiking and mountain biking, and nautical activities (barks and pedal boats). Possibility to discover the site with a guide, contact the tourist office of the country of Bitche. Areas of interest include the medieval castles of Falkenstein and Waldeck, the ruins of the Ramstein Castle in Baerenthal, the Great Arnsbourg, the Bitche citadel, the fortified Simseroff, the Fort Casso, or the Eschviller mill.
