TITHE HOUSE
It stands in the middle of the village of Rettel but it is not until Labour Day or Heritage Days that you have the chance to visit it individually. Groups can visit it by appointment. The Maison de la Dîme, built in the first half of the 15th century, was first built for a local boatmen's guild. It was only during the 17th and 18th centuries that it was used to keep the proceeds of the clergy's tithe. In addition to its late Gothic architecture, the building is worth a look for the many workshops offered, especially for children on opening days. Please note that guided tours are available on request!
