The Centre des archives industrielles et techniques de la Moselle is located in Saint-Avold, and is dedicated to the preservation of the memory of the great industries that made the history of Moselle. It preserves the archives of the Houillères du Bassin de Lorraine from 1816 to 2007, but also the archives of the steel industry, glass and crystal factories... In all, 8.5 km of paper archives, 20,000 photographs and slides, 4,000 books on Moselle industries and about 4,500 films stored in cold storage: a mine of information and treasures!
