HOLY CROSS CHAPEL
This building, located at the corner of rue Mangin and passage des Poilus, is the oldest in the city
Located at the corner of rue Mangin and passage des Poilus, this rectangular building with a three-sided apse, in flamboyant Gothic style, dates back to the end of the 15th century: it is the oldest in the city! At the entrance, a statuary group of the Crucifixion (called Calvary), including the statues of the Virgin, Saint John and Christ, is visible. Look up to admire the vault and its clever arrangement of arches. Below, the chapel is decorated with a magnificent 17th century Way of the Cross representing five scenes of the Passion.
