SAINT BARTHOLOMEW'S CHURCH
An ancient collegiate church with arcades and carved head ornaments, with Gothic stalls and paintings
Formerly the collegiate church of Saint-Etienne, the church of Saint-Barthélemy dates back to the 13th century. Only a few vestiges remain of the old collegiate church, namely the north tower, the arcades and the carved head ornaments. In the middle of the 18th century, the church was completely rebuilt. This building is endowed with a rich furniture including the pulpit, the woodwork, a virgin of the XVIth century, gothic stalls coming from the church of the Cordeliers, and paintings of the XIXth century including one signed by Charles Dugasseau, pupil of Ingres.
