FAICE OVEN
Dome covered with bricks to discover objects which made the history of the region, constitutes the heritage of Sarreguemines
At the time of the industrial effervescence, the earthenware ovens were numerous in the Sarreguemines of the 19th century. This conical dome, entirely covered with bricks, is no less than 11 meters high. It is located behind the Musée de la Faïence. In the past, it was used for the firing of earthenware. These were fired in a coal-fired kiln, one of the last of its kind in Europe. Behind the town hall, discover these objects which made the history of the region, and which constitute the heritage of Sarreguemines.
