A haven of peace located in Scy-Chazelles, with a place for meditation, contemplation, prayer, work and peace

In the village of the illustrious Robert Schuman nestles the monastery of the Visitation where a community of nuns keeps the place alive in meditation, contemplation, prayer, work and peace. Saint Francis de Sales and Saint Jeanne Françoise de Chantal founded the "Visitation Sainte Marie sous l'inspiration du Saint-Esprit" in the 17th century. At present, only the chapel of the Visitation can be visited outside of services. A haven of peace!

Ayant décidé de tenter l'expérience d'une retraite, j'ai opté pour ce lieu. Une magnifique découverte ! Les sœurs sont accueillantes et très discrètes. Au programme, calme et solitude reposants dans un cadre de toute beauté. Sans oublier les chants des sœurs qui rendent les offices, auxquels on est libre d'assister ou non, totalement apaisants. Croyants ou non, on ne peut que ressortir de cet endroit libéré du stress.
