Castle overlooking the Moselle valley, one of the most prized residences of the Dukes of Lorraine with loophole towers, animations

Built on a rocky promontory overlooking the Moselle valley, the castle offers a magnificent viewpoint from which to admire the picturesque surrounding streets. It is also one of the few ancient forts in the East that has kept its architecture almost intact. This castle was one of the favorite residences of the dukes of Lorraine. Today, in order to bring life and sparkle to this 15th century castle, beautiful events are organized such as the torchlight visit!

Bel ouvrage, ...en restauration lors de notre passage (bravo à l'association). ... à la période de Paques, la Moselle était à la limite de sortir de son lit, cette année !

Vu de loin ce château semble fantastique mais de près, il semblerait qu'il n'y ait pas grand chose à visiter. En tout cas c'est fermé l'hiver.

Même l'escalier menant à la forteresse est fermé à cette saison !
La ville est sinistre et même le jardin pour les enfants près d'une tour en ville basse est cadenassé...Je ne recommande vraiment pas !
