Guided tour of the Simserhof in Siersthal, one of the most important artillery works on the Maginot Line.

The fort, built between 1929 and 1938, was home to 876 crewmen who bravely defended the Maginot Line, a testament to an era and to the colossal efforts of hundreds of workers. Explore the barracks and its living quarters: bedrooms, foyer, kitchens, infirmary, power station, workshops and ammunition stores. A visit through vast galleries forming a veritable underground city 25 meters below ground.

Wir hatten vorab die deutsche Tour per Mail reserviert um sicher zu gehen, dass wir auch einen Platz bekommen. Die Dame hat die Tour mit sehr viel Charme und Insiderwissen durchgeführt und wusste die eine oder andere Anekdote.
Wir werden sicher mal wieder kommen, da uns der Besuch sehr beeindruckt hat.
