ST. LÉGER'S CHURCH
Located in the centre of Vigy, the Church Saint-Léger, built in the th century, is part of these typically Lorraine buildings, which were once found in the heart of the villages, and which, thanks to the height of its pointed bell, were widely seen in the distance. Even today, we like its classic order, both simple, clear and effective. From an outside point of view, it's mainly its sharp clocher covered with slate that hits the visitor's eye. Inside, you will discover the same simplicity, as a return to the essentials… or any other spiritual destitution, with the exception of the nave and the choir, decorated by a painted wooden cross and stained stained glass windows of Victor Homec, a master verrier from Nancy. In the ailes wings, two statues (Virgin to the Child and Saint Joseph) are discovered in polychrome wood surrounded by sculpted ornaments. As for the Christ Christ, he is a throne in a natural light-flooded niche.
