LE ROCHER DU HOHWALSH
Remarkable rock on the Hohwalsch pass, a place to relax with the remains of a Gallo-Roman cemetery.
Perched at an altitude of 486 metres, this pass links the Bièvre and Yellow Zorn valleys. It's on the Hohwalsch pass that you'll find the rock of the same name, which stands like a giant pink sandstone sculpture emerging from the forest. The site is popular as a place to relax and discover, and is also home to ancient remains: the Gallo-Roman cemetery of the Trois Saints, the Celtic settlement of the Hengstbourg cross and the Heidenschloss enclosure. Hikers, mountain bikers and climbers all meet on this remarkable site. Picnic area at Hohwalschplatz.
