RENZ
For 40 years, Renz has been a family business that manufactures mailboxes. The European leader has had its products certified as Origine France Garantie.
History. Renz's history begins in 1925 with a tinsmith's workshop (roofing products manufacturing) created by Erwin Renz in Kirchberg/Murr, near Stuttgart in Germany. Eight years later, the company started manufacturing mailboxes. In 1952, it moved from crafts to industry by building two industrial manufacturing units, which were regularly expanded.
In 1975, Martin Renz of the 2nd generation, created the company Renz Franc in Puttelange aux Lacs. This one will be enlarged ten years later by moving to Leyviller. And it is in 1988 that the current site will be built in Woustviller. In 2004, Armin Renz of the 3rd generation succeeded his father.
In 2008, Renz focused on eco-design by launching the first eco-designed mailbox. It includes a photovoltaic cell and a light detector. The following year, it launched two new ranges: Seiz9ème, a contemporary collection, a real letterbox screen set in relief with integrated backlighting, and Artic, the prestige range, with brushed stainless steel doors and damped shutters for greater comfort.
In 2010, the company went international with the acquisition of Mefa in Taastrup near Copenhagen, a mailbox manufacturer since 1969 and leader on the Scandinavian market. In 2012, Renz acquired Safety Letterbox Company, a leading mailbox company in the United Kingdom.
At the beginning of 2018, a new "Retails & Logistics" business unit was created, joining the two existing business units: "Distribution" and "Building". An innovation that promises great growth prospects.
The products. Standard mailboxes, renovation mailboxes, wall email....
Employment. Renz forecasts a turnover of 20 million euros in 2019 compared to 18 million in 2018.
