Gardens with some 250 varieties of heather and a collection of rhododendrons, azaleas and hydrangeas
The Callunes Gardens take their name from the heather that is omnipresent in this place. Persistent and rustic, it has no difficulty in evolving in a Vosges climate. Its foliage is diverse and its flowers range from white to mauve. You will discover some 250 varieties of heather as well as a collection of rhododendrons, azaleas and hydrangeas. This 4-hectare English-style garden is made up of distinct landscaped areas such as the pine forest, the stream and the small mountain lake. Note that the place also becomes a refuge for the bird protection league. Events are organised throughout the year: the rhododendron festival on the second weekend in May, the "rendez-vous in the garden" on the first weekend in June and the heather festival on the second weekend in September. You can leave with plants bought from the nursery or local products from the shop. A place not to be missed!
