THERMAL GALLERY
Created in 1760, the spa resort of Contrexeville acquires its letters of nobility in the Belle Epoque. The current spa centre was built in 1912 in the Néobyzantin style and completely renovated in 1995. The gallery, which runs along the park and the Source pavilion, where water leaves the griffins, is covered with blue and pink mosaics. The station was marked by some of its illustrious hosts like Grand duchess Wladimir, cousin of tsar Nicolas II, who even built here an Orthodox chapel in the middle of the park, where it was laid down with her son Boris in 1921.
