COLLEGIATE CHURCH SAINTE-MADELEINE
Collegiate church with listed objects such as the pulpit, the stalls and panelling, the lectern
The collegiate church of Sainte-Madeleine dates from 1789. Its inauguration in July of that troubled year, in the middle of the Revolution, is symbolized by the three words of the Republic, Liberty, Equality and Fraternity, which can still be read on its facade. It contains classified objects such as the pulpit, the stalls and panelling, the lectern representing a spread eagle perched on a ball, all made by Jean Baptiste Gerdolle, a sculptor and cabinetmaker from Lamarche.
