DARROZE ARMAGNACS
Darroze trading house which is located in the very heart of Landes Bas-Armagnac is labelled "Entreprise du patrimoine vivant" in 2015. Some forty estates contribute to this extraordinary collection of brandies from the terroir that ages in the cellars of Darroze de Roquefort, in oak barrels, and sometimes for 15 to 50 years. In all cases, Darroze's principles are to scrupulously respect, in complicity with the owner, the terroir which is best for each vineyard and to ensure its perfect expression. Therefore no blend of estates, nor of vintages, nor any "reduction" which would dilute by adding "small waters" the alcoholic strength but also the aromatic power and the nuances of soil. Thus, each Bas Armagnac from the collection of Darroze house is authentic, with its original estate name, its vintage and its bottling date that says its real age. This exceptional collection allows a "true gustatory journey through the infinite variations of soils, grape varieties and know-how of Bas Armagnac". In addition, taking advantage of the extraordinary collection of centenary stocks accumulated in its cellars, Darroze has launched a new prestigious range "les grands assemblages". Chosen for their synergy, the Armagnacs selected in each cuvée have different ages. Their aromatic palette naturally evolves over the years, passing from fruity aromas on the youngest, to chocolate and coffee flavours for the oldest, while going through flavours of spices and candied fruits at around 30 years of age.
