NOTRE-DAME-AU-CIERGE CHURCH
This church, rebuilt between 1956 and 1958, perfectly embodies contemporary religious architecture
Originally built in 1900 and completed in 1939, the church was totally destroyed during the Second World War. Rebuilt between 1956 and 1958, the church is a perfect example of contemporary religious architecture. Inside, the large stained glass window in the choir, created by Gabriel Loire, master glass artist, will catch your attention. The portal of the church represents, around the cross of Christ, the 4 evangelists and their symbols. The place is classified as a historical monument in 2011.
