THE ROMAN HOUSE
Sumptuous residence since 1902, listed in the supplementary inventory of historical monuments in Épinal
The town of Épinal has owned this sumptuous residence since 1902. A look back at the history of this site, which once belonged to a rich heiress: it was in 1892 that Mrs Leclerc-Morel, having inherited the fortune of the Grands Moulins de Strasbourg, decided to have a Pompeian-style villa built. The plans of the house underwent some adaptations because of the Vosges climate. The owner will never see her project come to fruition as she finds herself ruined a few years later. The town then saw the opportunity to install the municipal library from 1906 to 2008. It is registered in the supplementary inventory of Historic Monuments. Today, it is home to companies from the Images Cluster.

il est situé au bord de la Moselle, c'est un endroit calme ou vous pouvez vous reposer au milieu de belles roses. J'aime beaucoup cet endroit pour faire un petit break.
This house style Roman villa hides the municipal library.
The setting is superb and relaxing, the gardeners of the city have managed to create a garden where we liked to bask on the edge of the Moselle river.
you should also visit one of the pride of place the Rose Garden at the entrance of place that during June fills scents of the multiple roses present...
