PLACE DES VOSGES
Square with many terraces, old arcades and the charming Bailiff's house, a place of passage not to be missed in Épinal
In the Middle Ages, it was the historical heart of the city, where bourgeois, bankers and merchants, as good patriots, came to settle their business. Nowadays, this square remains an essential place of passage for the inhabitants and the visitors. Not forgetting the many terraces attached to the old arcades, the most recent of which date back to the 17th century. Don't miss the charming Bailiff's house, built in 1604 for a rich paper manufacturer. Renaissance style, with its oriels and mullioned windows, it is worth a visit!
