DEHARD CASCADE
Cascade du Géhard with a splendid nature in Girmont-Val-d'Ajol, with many marked paths for a walk
The Gehard takes its source at the Moulin Picard and drops down into a suite of marmites digged by erosion. This stream drains the waters of a multitude of ponds with the flanks of the Head of Sarrazins. The Gehard is one of the first tributaries of Combeauty, which takes its source at the Croisette of Hérival at 672 m altitude. Combeauté travels through the Val d 'Ajol valley to the south Saône. According to legend, the vaulted bridge under the waterfall would have been built by Napoleon III so that he could admire him better. The path of the Emperor attests to Napoleon's interest in these places and for Plumbers where he came in cure. Not far from there, don't miss the Sapin President, 42 meters tall and over 200 years to the meter. The marked paths are numerous and the splendid nature!
