Church that is adorned with elements of Gothic style, as evidenced by the use of the pointed arch, the ribbed vault
Although the construction of Notre-Dame-de-l'Assomption Church dates back to the 12th century, the building was expanded many times over the following decades. At the beginning of the 17th century, the bell tower (also used as an entrance porch) was modified. The church is adorned with elements of Gothic style, as evidenced by the use of the pointed arch, the pointed cross vault and the interior buttresses. The church of Lamarche is now listed on the Supplementary Inventory of Historic Monuments. Its organ, built by Nicolas Antoine, enhances its rich heritage. It is installed in a sculpted stand designed by Jean Gerdolle. All classified as Historic Monuments.
