LOCAL HERITAGE MUSEUM
Founded in 1970, with the support of the mayor at the time, the museum was located in the washhouse on rue des Halles. It has now been relocated to the former presbytery rebuilt by the family of the Ghent priest. This museum was born from the idea that without a past, no present and even less a future. To ensure that nothing disappeared from their memories, they set out to save everything that could be saved. It has some pretty little treasures to discover. Firefighter equipment with handcart, buckets and copper pumps; beautiful collection of wolf, fox, weasel and even fly traps! Tools for roadmenders, lumberjacks, saboteurs, glass makers and cheesemakers already give us a lot of information about the region's activity. Many agricultural implements are present, but also many everyday objects with some curiosities like this bath heater or these sewing machines, one of which was used to sew only gloves (Vauvillers factory).
