LE MARQUIER
Le Marquier has been manufacturing planchas and barbecues for more than 40 years and is one of the three leaders in the sector. Recognizable by their cheerful and bright colours, Le Marquier barbecues are robust and functional. They are certified Origine France Garantie, just like the planchas.
History. Marquier's story began in 1971 when Guy Cours, the current manager's father, started manufacturing artistic ironwork (bellows, mirrors, chandeliers and pewter) in a workshop located in rue Pontrique, in Petit Bayonne (Basque Country). The Marquier and its fireplace articles are hitting the nail on the head, so the ironwork is moving to Bayonne Le Forum (Basque Country). She then made her first barbecues in 1986 and enjoyed dazzling success. The company will still need to expand, this time towards Saint-Martin-de-Seignanx (south of the Landes). In 1989, Le Marquier created his new best-seller: la plancha. He is the first to market this equipment to private individuals. In 2012, a new extension to equip itself with even more efficient machines. Two years later, Le Marquier launched the new Le Marquier Exclusif collection, a premium selection of its barbecues and planchas.
The products. In addition to planks and barbecues in steel or stainless steel, to be placed or on trolleys, they include: mixed, trolleys, universal trolleys, coffee tables, spindle turners, accessories (skewers, knives, stainless steel balls, etc.), stoves, inserts and fireplace accessories.
Employment. The 7,000 m² site has 45 employees. There are also 10 representatives throughout France.
