Fort on the Parmont massif, part of the defensive curtain built by General Séré de Rivières.

The Fort of Remiremont was built on the Parmont massif. It is part of the defensive curtain built by General Séré de Rivères after the 1870 war against Germany. Built from 1874 to 1876, it was abandoned since 1960. In 2006, a group of volunteers joined together to form the Comité de Sauvegarde and decided to completely restore the site. Guided tours allow visitors to discover the military architecture. The discovery trail "Séré de Rivière" of 2.5 km and marked out with 12 panels presents the external works.

Ce lieu date déjà de ma jeunesse, ont y allait traîner la dedans, mais c'était dangereux, maintenant c'est différent, beaucoup de travaux fait et ça vaut le détour. Bon à visiter les jours ouvertures

Je n'ai pas visité le fort mais, j'ai fais la balade autour, j'ai adoré un peu plus d'une heure en prenant son temps, une vue magnifique et la découverte de l'histoire du fort

Das Fort hat nur Sonntags offen. Außenbereich ist immer begehbar, Innenanlagen nur sonntags zu besuchen.
Trauriges Zeugnis und Mahnung, dass Krieg keine Lösung sein kann.

Auf der Rückfahrt haben wir das Fort zufällig entdeckt. Die Zufahrt ist etwas eng, aber auch mit einem Transit gut zu meistern. Leider qar es geschlossen, aber der 2,5 km Rundweg war genau richtig um sich die Beine zu vertreten und die Hunde auszuführen. Unterwegs gibt es 12 Infotafeln, die sogar mit deutschem Text sind.
