Museum presenting a collection of works of art and paintings from the Middle Ages to the beginning of the century and from the time of the abbesses.
Charles Friry was a magistrate and in 1833, following his marriage in Remiremont, he settled in a historic house that had belonged to the noble chapter of Remiremont. A scholar, passionate collector and amateur artist, he enriched his house with numerous works of art and paintings from the Middle Ages to the early 18th century. The collections he presents also refer to the era of the abbesses. The centrepiece of the collections is Le Vielleur by Georges de La Tour, first half of the 17th century. The gardens are home to several sculptures.
