HOLY MARTIN ROCK

The Saint-Martin rock is a forest hill in the commune of Saint-Dié-des-Vosges. It appears from the valley of the Meurthe with a martial helmet shape. Sanctified, tradition has radically separated it from the Kemberg massif to which it belongs, however, in relation to its morphology. Its summit, often referred to since the 19th century as "the rocks of Saint-Martin", has been transformed into a belvedere, allowing a remarkable view of the city and formerly on a vast northern and eastern panoramic horizon.
