MATRINA AMERICA

The name of the brewery comes from distant history, when the Duke of Lorraine René II, entrusted humanists from the Vosges with the account of the expeditions of the Florentine navigator Amerigo Vespucci. To honor him, they named America South America, thus baptizing the^4th part of the world. America is thus on the world map and Saint-Dié is designated as its godmother (in Latin matrina). Matrina America is a beer that will remind us that without Saint-Dié, America would not be America. The beer is made from French barley malt and American hops.
