OIL-MILL CASTLE
At the foot of the village there was a medieval castle built by Simon de Thuillières in 1328. At the beginning of the eighteenth century, this castle belongs to Marquis Marc de Beauvau-Craon, governor and great fan of Lorraine, but the building is no longer habitable. The Marquis, covered with debts, saw his property seized and the architect Germain Boffrand bought her in 1722. In a tower of the time, he made a pigeon with 700 boulders (niches of pigeons) and its rotating scale. You can also visit the Baroness's room, the main lounge and the chapel. It is a beautiful little castle which also houses the Ève Lavallière Museum (comedian and religious religious of the nineteenth century), with additional parts due to its recent renovation.
