This castle, at the confluence of the Arget and Ariège rivers, seems to hang in the clouds rather than rest on solid ground. This location has earned it a great deal of jealousy and, above all, formidable sieges. The three towers that stand out with authority against the Fuxen sky belong to different eras. C'est le lieu incontournable à voir et à visiter lors d'un passage à Foix ! L'histoire du château est riche et très bien mise en valeur par des guides de qualité qui n'hésitent pas à glisser ici et là quelques anecdotes bien choisies. La visite est d'autant plus attractive car les guides sollicitent les visiteurs de manière spontanée en leur posant des questions historiques ou des devinettes. Je ne regrette pas cette découverte !

Bien sûr, il y a la vue. Mais on peut en avoir une déjà panoramique sans payer, sur le chemin d'accès au château (sinon, 5.6 €).
Après il y a des explications claires et interactives sur le Moyen-age: idéal pour des visites en famille, avec armure, épées, etc...
Bref: y aller, une foix...

Très intéressant à découvrir car la tour ronde est en parfait état, avec de beux vestiges (porte des cellules de prisonniers) et on grimper tout en haut, moyennant quelques marches, avec une très belle vue en récompense.
