Go there and contact
A remarkable state-owned reserve at Massat, one of the oldest in the Pyrenees, home to Bearded Vultures and other animals.
Created in 1937, the Mont-Valier State Reserve is the jewel in the crown of the Ariège region, stretching over 9,037 ha between France and Spain. Dominated by the Valier (2,838 m), it offers steep valleys, glacial cirques and unspoilt nature. Bearded vultures, golden eagles and capercaillie cohabit with Pyrenean lilies and dazzling rhododendrons. Stroll along its mythical trails (GR 10, Chemin de la Liberté) and explore this wild haven where flora and fauna reign supreme.
