This museum presents the history of Mazères from Neolithic times to the present day. A garden designed in the purest spirit of the Renaissance surrounds this beautiful building. You'll discover an exhibition on the cultivation and history of pastel, reproductions of medieval weapons, and a permanent exhibition entitled "Barbarians in Southern Gaul". It features objects excavated from a Merovingian necropolis. Visitors are invited to become real archaeologists, to find out who was buried there.

Si vous passez par Mazères, faites un détour. Vous ne serez pas déçu par la visite de la ville et de son musée.
For a small town museum, this is tops. Excellent and informative exhibits about the region from pre-roman to the last century. Very much worth a visit. If you do a thorough job at museums, plan on 2 to 3 hours.
