Relais Mira Peis is a charming guest house set in an elegant 1666 residence in the heart of the medieval town of Mirepoix. The establishment welcomes you to the center of the Cathar Pyrenees, 30 minutes from Montségur, 40 minutes from Carcassonne and around 1 hour from Toulouse, Andorra and Narbonne. While staying here, you can enjoy breakfast in the ballroom or by the pool. Enjoy local products such as cheeses, charcuterie, jams and apple juice from the farm. You can also enjoy the cosy atmosphere and subdued lighting of the lounge bar, ideal for chance encounters in an intimate setting combining the ambience of a British club and a Parisian salon. Enjoy the different atmospheres of the patio and terrace overlooking the inner courtyard for a moment of calm in a verdant setting. A menu of nibbles and local drinks, with or without alcohol, awaits you on site. Enjoy local wines and iconic cocktails, for example, while sampling tapas plates. You'll also be tempted by gins and bourbons from Ariège. An ideal place to take a break at the end of the day after touring the region!

We recently stayed in the Relais Mira Peis for two nights during a cycling holiday in the region. We booked 3 rooms and they were all large and comfortable, with big bathrooms, including bathtubs. We were able to park right outside the hotel and the staff were really helpful in bringing in our bikes and storing them in a secure room for us. We chose to have dinner at the hotel on the Sunday night when they do a BBQ. This was a great decision as it was delicious. A short walk to all the shops and market of Mirepoix. We ended up eating in the restaurant again on the Monday evening as not much was open in town - we were all pleased with our meal. ||Overall we'd particularly like to say that the team there are so friendly and helpful. ||A great choice for a stay in Mirepoix. The cycling in the area is also very good.||One minor comment would be that they need to amend the description on Trip Advisor about there being a pool. Would stay again.
