Every year, the Mirepoix Swing and Jazz Festival brings the sounds of New Orleans jazz (among other things...) to the medieval town for three days, with street entertainment, a craft fair, exhibitions of musical instruments, sheet music, posters, books, photos, jazz-themed records and the traditional giant omelette. The Festival de Swing à Mirepoix is a flagship event for jazz, swing and boogie fans. During the Easter weekend, the festival offers four days of frenzied music with renowned international artists. Managed by the Swing à Mirepoix association, which has been active for over 20 years, this annual event has become a veritable institution in the Ariège town of Mirepoix. Founded in 1995 in this charming town, the Swing à Mirepoix association is dedicated to cultural education and the promotion of these energetic musical styles. Thanks to its commitment, the festival attracts music lovers from all horizons every year, delighted to be swept away by the lively rhythms of the guest bands. In short, it's a unique musical experience not to be missed.
