FRANCE SAPIN BIO
Heir to a line of farmers and foresters - thirteen generations before him! -Michel Vuillier grew up in the middle of the earth. At the head of the father's farm since the 1980s, initially specialized in sunflower and cereal cultivation, he took a singular turn in 2007 to devote himself to the production of organic Christmas trees. Its specimens, which can be up to eight metres high, are of two varieties. Michel Vuillier chose "nordmann" for its dense and majestic silhouette, as well as spruce, which smells like resin and lemongrass. The farmer does not use any phytosanitary products, and has formally ruled out chemical fertilizers, herbicides, fungicides... His firs, certified organic and "Products of the Regional Natural Park of the Ariège Pyrenees", thus preserve the soils on which they grow, sparing the water table the absorption of pollutants. Each cut tree is immediately replaced by another, which in turn will store a lot of CO2 throughout its growth. Consistent from A to Z, Michel Vuillier also offers a Christmas tree recycling service. After the holidays, the farmer recovers the trees to give them a second and last life. The branches are used as green manure and the trunks are cut into heating chips.
