ROMAN CLOISTER
A Romanesque cloister of striking beauty with four galleries of semicircular arches with sculpted capitals.
The cloister is a sight to behold, and is strikingly beautiful when the sun shines between the columns. The building, which adjoins the church, is surmounted by a gallery of wooden pillars added in the 14th century, which is rare in this region, and comprises four galleries of semicircular arches with richly sculpted capitals. Of harmonious proportions, this cloister gives a very great impression of serenity and encourages reflection and spirituality. The capitals of the north gallery are in a style reminiscent of the Daurade church in Toulouse.
