These ancient ramparts surround the city on 750 meters for a height of 4 to 5 meters
These ancient ramparts encircle the city for 750 meters for a height of 4 to 5 meters and are flanked by 6 round or square towers. They enclose an area of 3.5 hectares. This wall would have been built in the 3rd or 4th century after Jesus-Christ and rests on the rocky base. This vestige is the best preserved of the ancient city. Its remarkable condition is due to its medieval and modern reuse, which have contributed to its regular maintenance. It is even considered by specialists as one of the best preserved in the South of France.
