FORTIFIED CHURCH
Church which shelters magnificent frescos of the XVIth discovered in the middle of the Sixties in Sentein
Sentein is the main village of the Biros valley. It owes its fame to the old mines and to the thermalism, it is now turned towards the pastoralism and the hike. Recently rediscovered, the fortified church Notre-Dame de Sentein is worth a visit. Built for the first time in the 12th century (only the bell tower remains from this period), it houses magnificent frescoes from the 16th century discovered in the mid-sixties. Two towers of the fortification remain. The visit includes a historical tour of the village and the church.
