Monument located on the heights of the city, dedicated to a poor girl from the town of Saint Geniez d'Olt and Aubrac.
Located on the heights of the town, this 19th century mausoleum is dedicated to a poor girl from the commune who married Paulin Talabot, a member of parliament and a railway and banking magnate. Now rich and introduced into good society, Marie Talabot returned to her native village, but the local bourgeoisie gave this "parvenue" a cold shoulder. Vexed and angry, she swore that she would dominate the Marmots, even after her death. She did so by acquiring the remains of the Rey castle above the town, razing it to the ground and commissioning this monument to her memory.
