A visit for two themes. First an exploration in the universe of the chestnut. 140m2 of exhibition to discover the tree, the fruit and its cycles, then the stages of the maturity of the fruit until its transformation. A 15 minutes documentary film on the chestnut and the history of Ayssènes completes the visit. Then a space of 40m2 dedicated to the religious art including accessories of goldsmithery, a statue of the Virgin in polychrome wood, two paintings of the XVIIth century..

Superbe petit musée gratuit et très intéressant sur la châtaigne et son exploitation dans la région. Vaut le détour. Vente de produits locaux de châtaigne (miel, confiture, liqueur, etc). A l'étage, également une salle sur les Art Religieux avec de très belles pièces.
