MONTLAUR
A typical village in the heart of the Rougier region, famous for its red stone houses, wells, waterfalls and canals...
Montlaur, which can be found on the most detailed maps, is definitely worth a visit. This typical village, in the heart of the Rougier, spreads out along the Dourdou river which waters it. The red stone houses set in admirable calades were the natural setting for the film Malevil. Wells, waterfalls, canals, bridges run along the village. The hiking trail along the canal and the circuit of the menhir statues will delight you. Indeed, in the mas d'Azaïs, two beautiful menhir statues have been found.
