CABRIERE CASTLE
The castle of Cabrières is composed of a rectangular body of house dating from the XXth century
An imposing mass towering above the main road, its location and configuration make it almost a fairytale castle. If not fairytale-like, in the 19th century it was home to the singer Emma Calvé, who set up a singing school here. Situated on the left bank of the Lumensonesque, four kilometers from Compeyre, the building dominates the old Millau-Sèverac road. The château comprises a rectangular main building dating from the 20th century, flanked by two square towers and a keep, most of which date from the 15th century. It is now privately owned.
