Museum in Decazeville with exhibits on mining and factory equipment, with plans and photographs of the period.

Created in June 1997, this association aims to safeguard and promote the industrial and mining heritage. The ASPIBD proposes, in former premises of the iron and steel industry, an exhibition on the material of mines and factories (machines, photos, tools...), plans and photographs of the time and a reconstitution of two types of galleries of mines with their interior equipment. A part is also dedicated to the current companies of the basin.

Musee bien documenté plus quantité d'objets, machines industrielles, travail des mineurs, galeries reconstituées.
La personne qui nous a accompagné dans le musée a fournie de multiples explications permettant de comprendre le dur labeur des mineurs et ouvrier des industries périphériques.

Visite très riche en informations et anecdotes de notre guide bénévole membre de l'association lors des journées du patrimoine. Chapeau pour votre préservation du matériel et vos explications techniques sur l'histoire industrielle du bassin. Il aurait fallu la journée tant la visite était intéressante et riche en enseignements. Les bénévoles sont très agréables et sympathique et on grand plaisir à vous transmettre leur passion !
