Illustrious residence of the Estaing family who gave to the history of Rouergue and France many characters, military and religious, the castle of Estaing deserves a visit. The building was sold as national property in 1794, became the headquarters of the Congregation of Saint-Joseph-d'Estaing in 1836, was classified as a historical monument in 1945, was transferred to the commune in 2000, and then became the property of former French President Valéry Giscard d'Estaing in 2005. Permanent exhibition rooms are dedicated to him.
