The fronton, that great red wall bordered by a Basque pelota court, plays host to sporting events and festivals in every village in the Landes. But the Vieux-Boucau fronton is special: it's the largest in the Landes region, measuring 12 m high, 14 m wide and 90 m long. Many Basque pelota matches are played here in summer, preceded by a Landes folklore show with a group of stilt-walkers, much to the delight of curious visitors in search of a local experience!
