This feudal castle was built in the 10th century on a rocky outcrop that offers an incomparable view of the Rougier de Camarès

This 10th-century feudal castle has been well preserved and restored by volunteers from the Amis du Château association. It offers a remarkable panoramic view over the Rougier plain, and has retained its original medieval layout. You'll discover burials from the early Middle Ages, beautiful vaulted Romanesque rooms (kitchen and grand seigneurial hall), a spiral staircase, furniture to recreate a lived-in atmosphere... The village around the château (school, workshops, etc.) has been reconstructed as it was in the early 20th century. A fascinating insight into rural life.

close to gissac, offers a remarkable view over all the plateau. pleasant welcome. disguise children who wish medieval costumes with at the end of the visit a diploma and a reward!. small show sound and light on the history and the result of the archaeological excavations found in the wall. visit the château to project itself at that time. botanical courses outside and visit outdoor museum, including several exhibitions times (coaches,...). bath.
