BENOÎT L’ARTISAN

Benoit Mijoule, a young creative cutler, passionate about his job and the desire to design, created his company La coutellerie Benoit l'artisan in 1999 in Laguiole (12). He took over his father's workshop in 2001 to make it a place of work open to the world, as he arranged it in such a way as to share his know-how with visitors.
Driven by his desire for creation and modernity, he creates in 2007 his own model, the Laguiole Tribal. This model symbolizes the alliance between tradition and modernity. The Tribal will become his reference in 2009 when he obtains the SEMA prize (Société d'Encouragement aux Métiers d'Art) in the category of "Contemporary Creation". Benoit will obtain the title of Master Craftsman and Master Craftsman in Arts and Crafts that same year.

2011 marks a great step in the life of this craftsman with his participation in the final of the competition "Un des Meilleurs Ouvriers de France".

Benoit Mijoule is a young knifemaker motivated and passionate about his profession and the traditions that surround him; he is above all looking to make models that resemble him and that fully satisfy the demands of his customers.
