FERME LES VOLAILLES DE RUOLS

Located in Luc-la-Primaube, just outside Rodez, Les Volailles de Ruols is a poultry farm that emphasizes respect for animal welfare and tradition. Poultry are raised in the open air, fed on cereals and slaughtered after a minimum 120-day rearing period. Nicolas Vacquier, who is the 7th generation of farmer in his family, took over the family farm to raise free-range poultry. His aim is to offer healthy poultry raised in an ecosystem close to nature, and to market them through direct sales and short distribution channels. Prices vary according to the weight of the birds. The farm has also obtained a prefectoral dispensation to allow the poultry to go out on their range, despite the avian flu affecting the country.
