This race, formerly known as La Course du Petit Bleu, was held in the heart of the city centre and dates back to 1979. The start was at nightfall in front of the offices of the newspaper Le Petit Bleu and the runners had to cross the four boulevards over a distance of 11 km. A good part of the city had put on the sneakers to participate, the other part supported them on the terraces of cafés or restaurants. What an atmosphere! No less than 1,500 people take part in the event every year. This year the 42nd Foulées agenaises will take place on the weekend of September 12th and 13th. Starting from Le Gravier, you will go for one or two loops around the Canal Latéral à la Garonne, passing of course over the recently renovated canal bridge. A mythical race! From 9am, a 5 kilometre race will start, reserved for women and men born before or in 2004. Then at 10 am, a half marathon will start at a common start on a course officially measured at 10 kilometres. All information on www.lesfouleesagenaises.com.
